Board members:

At our last meeting I informed the board of several purchases I had approved, each of which fell below the $500 amount in the bylaws that would require the board's prior approval.

One of these purchases was for a new freezer for the concessions stand. This became a more urgent need this week, as a power outage and freezer failure caused us to lose the entire contents of the freezer.

Traci Mathieson had made arrangements to purchase a freezer for just under $500. However, this deal did not go through.

Traci has found a freezer that will work. The price is $532. Depending on whether this company will accept our preapproved status for tax exemption, there may or may not be sales tax added to this amount. This is an urgent need. Traci has worked diligently to get us the best deal possible.

I urge the approval of this expenditure. What is your vote?
