The Choo Choo Marching Band Classic has been scheduled for Saturday October 6. One of the many things that needs to be done right away is to secure donations from local businesses. We have decided to form a Revenue Committee for this purpose and we need someone to coordinate (and members to serve on) this committee. We would like for every business in the Hixson area to be contacted. We especially need to know who will sponsor the scholarship and trophy awards. As we get closer to October, we will need to secure food donations for the students, volunteers, judges and band directors. We also want to ask businesses with marquees to mention the Choo Choo on or before October 6. If you are willing to serve on this committee, please let us know as soon as possible. Lots of hands make light work is an especially true statement when it comes to preparing for the Choo Choo. Remember that while each booster is required to serve a five hour shift during the competition, there is a lot


of work to do to make this a successful fundraiser for our band program. With everyone working together this event will be enjoyable for all.
